India Won the toss and opted to bat, Dinesh Karthick opened the innings in place of injured Virender Sehwag.Gautham Gambhir and Rohit Sharma went out early but Dinesh Karthick holded the other end tightly.Yuvi then gave a good hand to karthick when both flourished and put up a huge partnership.Yuvi scores his 12th ODI hundred and made 131 runs off just 102 balls.Karthick made 67 runs.In the end India made a huge score of 339 runs in their 50 overs.The total was helped by late order flourish by Harbhajan and Yousuf Pathan.
Indian won the match against West Indies by just 20 runs helped by the runs scored by sarwan and chanderpaul.Gayle made 37 runs,Sarwan made 45 runs and Chaderpaul made 63 runs.Asish Nehra on his return took 3 wickets along with harbhajan who took three wickets.In the end india manage to win the first ODI between India and west indies by 20 runs.
